Nick Halaris is the Founder and President of Metros Capital, a company dedicated to investing in and developing transformative real estate projects. Nick believes strongly in the power of the built environment to shape lives and is dedicated to improving lifestyles in America’s great cities through a commitment to innovation, quality, design and sustainability. Metros Capital invests opportunistically in the urban core of America’s great cities and currently has projects in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.
Prior to founding Metros, he was a co-founder and the President of AH Capital, an opportunistic real estate investment company. At AH Capital he invested more than $150M in residential and multifamily assets—buying, rehabilitating and selling over 150 residential properties throughout Los Angeles County and acquiring, rehabilitating and stabilizing over 2400 multifamily units throughout the Southeast. At AH Capital, Nick successfully built 3 vertically integrated subsidiaries to handle various property management, construction and multifamily service functions.
Prior to co-founding AH Capital in 2010, he served as the Executive Vice President at Louisville-based recycling company, Industrial Services of America, where he helped orchestrate a strategic growth plan that grew revenue from $100M to over $350M in less than one year. Nick began his career at Marx Consulting Group where he helped senior executives at Fortune 500 companies develop and implement strategies and become better leaders.
Nick is active philanthropically and cares deeply about the fight to end homelessness and the promise of low cost higher education. He currently serves as the Chair of the HHH Citizens Oversight Committee for the City of Los Angeles and as a Board Member for the Los Angeles City College Foundation.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts with High Honors from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School.
