Export Nation: How U.S. Metros Lead National Export

www.brookings.edu/metro : The Brookings Institute states that the 100 largest metro areas in the U.S. will provide the best opportunity for our nation’s economic growth and job creation through exports. Brookings states that in order to reach our export potential public and private sector leaders need to collaborate and connect federal policies with metropolitan areas to create economic competitiveness. They propose three main policy goals and areas of improvement: leveling the playing field on trade and currency, improving U.S. made products for export, and connecting those products to global markets.
